Hello BC, let us all be safe out on the roads. Here are some rainy-day driving tips:
1. WIPERS
Ensure your windshield wipers are in good working condition. If they streak the windshield, it's time to replace them.
2. DEFOGGERS
The front defogger will keep the windshield free of condensation. The rear defogger warms the rear windshield and the side mirrors to keep them clear of water droplets.
3. LOW BEAMS
If it's cloudy and darker than usual during the day, turning on low beams will help your car be more visible to other road users, apart from improving your own visibility of the road.
4. FUEL TANK
Expect delays on the road due to collisions, construction or road maintenance. Make sure to have enough fuel to reach your destination.
5. TIRE TREAD
Sometimes rain will bring out some oil/grease to the surface of the road. Please make sure that your tires have proper tread for good traction on the road.
