A CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR BILL PEETERS

Please join us as we gather to celebrate the life of Bill Peeters. Beyond his well-known expertise at Bills Truck Shop, Bill was a cornerstone of our community. He was a man of immense loyalty who took pride in supporting local businesses and fostering the homegrown spirit of the Durham area.

Bill believed in the people around him as much as he believed in hard work. To honor his memory and his lifelong passion for classic machinery, we invite you to bring your old trucks and vintage rides to the Legion. It would be a great way to remember him, with a parking lot full of the old steel he had such a passion for.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Bill Peeters (Owner of Bill's Truck Shop) on April 4th, 2026.

Some people lead by command, but Bill Peeters led by example. His work ethic set the standard for everyone around him. To those of us lucky to work closely with him, he meant so much more. He was the first to arrive everyday and the last to leave, yet as a family man he carried the love for his family into everything he built.

As a teacher, he gave us the tools to succeed; he taught us all how to live a life of purpose, integrity and devotion. He wasn’t just a boss; he was a blueprint for a life well lived.

Celebrate the life of William Peeters, leave a kind word or memory and get funeral service information care of Oshawa Funeral Home.
