On behalf of Georges Deschamps (Puce) my dear friend and customer I am posting this to inform you that his wife Diane Michaud better known as DiDi has passed away suddenly at home on Sunday April 12th.

He wishes that his friends contact him by email at: [email protected] for the arrangements he has made.

Didi was a tiny little spitfire that stole George's heart. I met them at Harley-Davidson of Ottawa when he bought his first touring shovelhead and she was riding on the back. You couldn't see her as she was so tiny so he looked like he was riding solo all the time. She loved animals and in the last few years took to feeding a variety of squirrels that she had named, she stood off a bear by herself on her back deck, and George fed foxes, turkeys, birds, etc to keep her entertained. I will miss our chats when I went over there to visit with Tim.

Please pass this info on to anyone you know that would like to express their condolences to George and his family.

To DiDi: I will always remember you with love. Godspeed!

This is an amazing pic for the amazing people who fought and are still fighting for our freedoms. Never forget how much they sacrificed for us

At some point today, I ask you to pay the debt of a moment.

A single moment offered in return to the men and women who gave every moment they had. A moment to acknowledge lives that ended far too soon, futures that never unfolded, and the courage of those who stepped forward knowing full well the cost might be their own life.

You are allowed to stop.
You are allowed to remember.
You are allowed to honour the ones who never returned to the country they defended.

This moment of silence is not for ceremony alone. It is for recognition; recognition that our daily freedoms were shaped by people who once laughed, hoped, dreamed, and loved just as we do. Recognition that the simplicity of living in peace is the result of sacrifices made in places far from home.

When you pause today, even if only for a few breaths, let yourself feel the weight of what that silence represents. Let it remind you that remembrance is not passive. It is an act of gratitude. It is an act of respect. It is an act of continuing the legacy of those who gave their lives for a Canada they believed was worth protecting.

Take that moment.
Hold it with intention.
Allow yourself to revere those who were lost.

Remember...not because tradition demands it, but because their sacrifice deserves to be carried forward by those of us who have the privilege to live in the peace they fought to secure.

Lest we forget.

Good Morning All Fellow Bikers and Customers:

Tim and I would like to thank you for your support and friendship for the past 41 years. As I am sure you are aware of by now, we have closed our retail store as of September 30th, 2025. I will continue to operate an online store which can be reached if you go to the main page of my website and click on "shop online". Give me a bit of time to get up and running as I have been very busy moving, unpacking and reorganizing. B.A. Machine clothing will be available shortly.

It has been quite the experience for us both serving our community as the years went by. We saw the introduction of the 1st evolution motorcycle in 1984 and since then have seen so many changes in the industry. We have grown up with so many of you and now a lot of you have children in motorcycling as well. A quick story...in 1974 Tim asked me if I would like to go to a bike show on Limebank Road and I said yes. We hitchhiked there from Manotick as neither of us had a license back then. Well I cannot begin to tell you how much fun and the impact that show was on me unbeknown to me. It was at a motorcycle shop called Brownsville Enterprises and there were hundreds of people and motorcycles. There were the psychedelic candy flake paint jobs, foil paint jobs, lace overlay paint jobs, every colour of the rainbow, etc. Front ends that were 8", 10" 24" overstock length, girder and springer front ends also over length, raked and stretched frames, homemade trike kits, peanut tanks to give you an idea of the widespread originality of these custom bikes. There was not a geezer glide to be seen! That was the first time I met Merilyn who is still in the bike community at the age of 75! Tim's version may be different than mine but this is my story.

Tim met the owners of Brownsville Enterprises when he was just a kid interested in anything with a motor in it...and to this day he still is. He used to take home parts that were broken to his grandfather's shop and repair them for the owners, bring them back and make some pocket money doing so...probably to buy motorcycle parts for himself. He has been kicked out of so many motorcycle shops for being a pest...always into everything including Cycle Salvage another bike shop on Flora Street he used to haunt. Tim is a story in himself, he has developed so many motors, learned what works and does not work, worked with industry leaders such as Doug Coffey of Headquarters fame. Tim developed a bathtub chamber for the evolution cylinder heads and Doug Coffey was marketing it. Alas Tim got into a motorcycle accident in front of our shop on Canotek Road and was unable to pursue it any further. Tim loves the challenge of figuring out the problem or the improvement but not the grunt work, and has become known right across the country. If you were lucky enough you got the chance to work with him and gain some of this knowledge. He is a wealth of information and technically a very smart man who has made the eyes of countless customers glaze over as he tells them the intricacies of whatever question they had asked him. He is a master of tuning on his Superflow dynameter. He can figure out where the glitches are and smooth them right out for you.

I could write a book about our experiences, our events, our customers, our friends, our rides and all that goes along with that. I will miss you all and the chats we had but I do plan on going to swap meets, and other special events. Until then...ride on and keep the rubber side down!

Today the contents of our store was purchased at the end of day. I would like to thank all my biker friends for the support you have shown me in the past week. I will be in the store for the rest of the week until Friday closing to say goodbye to those of you who wish to do so .It has been the pleasure of both Tim and myself to take care of your motorcycle needs over the past forty years.

You will also have the opportunity to meet Will Crowder and his wife Carly who have bought our inventory and will be setting up their own bike shop in the near future. Thank you one and all. Tim and Peri

Good Morning All:

I will be closing the retail store permanently on September 30, 2025. All merchandise in showroom will be 50% off (excluding items already on sale). First come, first served basis, no items will be held. Cash is my preferred method of payment. All fixtures are also available for purchase.

To those who have continued to do business with us over the years, thank you very much for the support. Please support your independent Harley-Davidson shop and all other bricks and mortar stores as they are the backbone of your community. They offer advice, knowledge, expertise and friendship in a lot of cases. You are not just a customer number to them, unlike online box stores. They also support your functions, rides, and charities.

Thank you again for being our friends and customers for the past 40 years. Please share the hell out of this.

Peri & Tim
