Gia's Diner & Treats Season Finale

Wow! What an incredible turnout last night for the final Gia’s Diner & Treats weekly cruise-in of the season!

It was a record night at Gia’s diner and treats with over 100 vehicles in attendance, and there was certainly no shortage of spectators either! 😉

The evening was full of smiling faces, great conversations, amazing vehicles and, as always, great food and treats! It was awesome to see so many people come out and show their support for Gia’s and everything they give back to our local car community.

There was also an amazing amount of prizes provided by Gia’s Diner & Treats, Shubenacadie Home Hardware and Creative Auto Images, making a great evening even more special!

Most importantly, a huge thank you to Jalysa and the fantastic staff at Gia’s Diner & Treats for hosting these weekly cruise-ins all summer long. Your hospitality and support of our local car community is greatly appreciated. You’ve given everyone a great place to gather, catch up with friends, meet new people and enjoy our shared passion for vehicles.

To everyone who came out throughout the summer, whether you brought a vehicle, stopped by to have a look or simply came for some great food and treats, thank you for supporting these events!

Northside Boys Car Show 2026 — Day 2, The Main Event! (August 22)

What a day full of cars, people and community!

Saturday was the main event of the Northside Boys Car Show in Sydney Mines, and what an incredible turnout. With over 600 vehicles in attendance, there was certainly no shortage of amazing cars, trucks and special interest vehicles to check out.

But as impressive as the vehicles were, it was the people and the atmosphere that really made the day special. Everywhere you looked, people were catching up with old friends, making new ones and simply enjoying a shared passion for the automotive hobby.

A huge thank you and congratulations to the Northside Boys, along with all the volunteers, sponsors, participants and everyone else who helped make this event such a huge success. Putting together an event of this size takes a tremendous amount of work, and it certainly showed!

My brother Kirk and I had a fantastic weekend and really appreciated the hospitality shown to us and our friends.

Cape Breton certainly knows how to put on a car show!

Northside Boys Car Show 2026 — Day 2, The Main Event! (August 22)

What a day full of cars, people and community!

5th Annual Springhill Miners Museum Car Show

What a beautiful day for a car show!

A group of us gathered this morning and enjoyed a great cruise together to Springhill for the 5th Annual Car Show at the Springhill Miners Museum, held today, Sunday, August 30th.

The museum made for a fantastic setting for the show, and it was great spending the day catching up with friends, meeting people and checking out the numerous custom, classic and special interest vehicles on display.

A big thank you to the organizers, volunteers and everyone involved for all the work that went into hosting today’s event. We certainly enjoyed our visit!

I was also pretty pleased to have my 1981 Chevrolet Malibu chosen for the Best of the ’80s Award! A nice way to top off an already great day.

Congratulations to all of today’s winners, and thanks to everyone who came out and helped make the show a success!
