Riders please pay attention, Kawasaki Ninja 600r came in for service... First thing we found was a slipping clutch. The client was asked to wait for the full diagnosis of the issue... We found 800ml of grey oil about 1 litre short. Once opened, the clutch was seen to be in very bad shape. The Actuator dowel that connects to the clutch release rod was chewed and was chipped in the machined opening. The very last friction plate that mates with the clutch hub was worn right down to the metal and a lot of grinding the clutch hub was in the same condition not to mention the pressure plate had a huge scoring in it. Why? Someone put the wrong Clutch cable on this motorcycle which was too short and too tight. There was zero slack and a bit of abuse by the rider. Moral of the Story bring your bikes in for proper preventative maintenance intervals and something like this can be caught before it arrives to such catastrophic failure.
