A great start for the Toronto Hustle Junior Team!

Here in Ontario, our athletes have tested their spring legs on the Ontario Cup Circuit with Luke Valenti, Gavin Hadfield and David Olejniczak taking podiums in the Elite 1/2 and Junior Categories. We traveled to the iconic Tour of Battenkill and Killington Mountain Stage Race events. Our team had 4 riders across the line in the Top 10 at Battenkill, with Theo Degroote and Luke Valenti going 1st and 2nd! Luke went on to compete at KMSR, taking the top step on GC and KOM jerseys! Next, the Toronto Hustle Junior team was a dominant force at the National Road Championships! Gavin Hadfield had outstanding performances in the Time Trial (4th) and the Road Race (2nd). Gavin got significant recognition for his achievements at Nationals and has been called up to race for the Canadian National Team! Go Gavin!

We are currently in Amos, Quebec for the UCI Nations Cup Junior event called the Tour De L'Abitibi! This prestigious event has been known to provide a foundation for World Tour riders from across the planet. This year our Toronto Hustle team is competing against National Team power house squads from France, New Zealand and USA. Right outta the gate we attacked the King of the Mountain Classification on Stage #1 and have secured that jersey for the tour with Luke Valenti taking honors. Our very own Gavin Hadfield broke away from the group on stage #4 to sprint for a 3rd place podium wearing the Canadian Maple Leaf. As I write this, Toronto Hustle once again hit the podium with a 2nd place on Stage #5 by Luke Valenti on this summit finish! We have two stages left with 3 athletes inside the top 15 on GC. Following this tour, the squad flies to Belgium to start their 25 day European Racing Campaign. We begin with a UCI Nations Cup Race in Sittard, Netherlands - The Watersley Cycling Classic. Following that we will take up a home base in Oudenaarde Belgium and race kermesse events for 2 weeks. Our season culminating race will take place in Spain the third week of August at the UCI Junior Tour of Riberia. It will have been an incredible season!
