The full DIY install for the CAP EA888 Gen 3 V2 4" Intake is live.

This is the intake we developed specifically for the MQB engine bay, using 3D scanning, CFD optimization, physical flow testing, and multiple rounds of revisions before finalizing the design.

In the video, we walk through the complete install:

✅ CAP heat shield assembly
✅ OEM mounting point reuse
✅ Billet SAI filter bracket installation
✅ 4" intake tube positioning
✅ 7" CAPFlowMax filter installation
✅ Final clearance and fitment checks

Both titanium and aluminum versions use the same massive 4" intake geometry.

In this video, we explain how CAP engineered the intake as a complete airflow system. See how 3D engine bay scanning, CFD analysis, physical flow testing, and multiple design revisions shaped the filter position, four-inch intake path, heat shield, and mounting system.

The system pairs a seven-inch CAPFlowMax performance filter with a four-inch titanium or aluminum intake tube. The larger filter provides 53 percent more filter surface area than leading alternatives, helping reduce restriction as airflow demand increases.
