Инициатором первых попыток создать единое сообщество для стрит-рейсеров и авто-любителей стал местный бизнесмен Эрик Давидович КИТУАШВИЛИ на, многим известной, "Золотой" BMW M5. Эрик тогда прославился сумасшедшей ездой по МКАДу снятой на видео и вы

ставленной на популярный сайт YouTube.
Было решено создать сайт который бы объединял не только Московских но и зарубежных авто-любителей. Назвали просто - Smotra.ru, стал информационный порталом для авто/мото любителей, последними новостями автомобильного мира и рекламы.

Short for Smotrovaya (Plosh'yadka) Square by Vorobyovy Mountains behind the Lomonosov Moscow State University in Moscow (MGU) in Moscow City. The initiator of the first attempts to create a community for street racers and auto enthusiasts was a local businessman Eric Davidovich KITUASHVILI on, well-known, "Golden" BMW M5. Eric became famous for his crazy driving on Moscow Ring Road (MKAD) filmed on video and shared on popular website YouTube. Called simply - Smotra.ru became an informational portal for the auto/moto enthusiasts, the latest news of the automotive world, and advertisement.
