H.G. MacNeil’s is expanding! We’re looking for a skilled, dependable technician to join our growing team. If you’re a Red Seal/Journeyman Truck & Transport Mechanic or Automotive Service Technician, we want to hear from you!
👉 3rd block apprentices will also be considered.

🔧 What You’ll Do
Diagnose & repair medium/heavy trucks
Perform inspections & preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues
Complete work orders accurately
Work independently & as part of a team

✔️ What We’re Looking For
Certified Red Seal/Journeyman or Automotive Technician
Experience with medium/heavy trucks or automotive
Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 an asset)
Strong diagnostic & problem-solving skills
Basic tool set (we provide specialty tools)

We want to to say a few words about our friend and long term employee of 24 years Stevie George. We will all miss this guy who has been a great friend to all of us at HG Mac Neil’s. Stevie was a great mechanic who loved his work and passed on his knowledge to his fellow employees. We send our condolences and prayers to his family. Posted below is Stevie’s obituary.
We will be attending this service so our business will be closed from 11 am Tuesday Feb 11 so that all our staff can attend the service.

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Stephen George on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025 due to a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, poppy, brother, uncle, and a wonderful friend to all. He was filled with kindness for others, loved to laugh, and....

We hope everybody is getting along well after this past weekends storm.
Our shop is currently closed and will remain closed tomorrow (Tuesday Sept 27th) as well due to power outage.
