From problem-solving at ITB to inspiring young minds 📚
After retiring from ITB, former employee Eberhard Lorenzen has turned his creativity toward a new passion: Illustration.
Eberhard immigrated to Canada in 1991 and spent his years at ITB installing propane lines. He especially enjoyed projects that required creative thinking, often embracing the philosophy that "there is always a way" to solve a problem.
Today, that same mindset lives on in a different form. Learning drawing software requires persistence, and, what started as drawing a single animal grew into the idea of creating an educational book featuring animals from across Canada.
His journey is a wonderful reminder that creativity doesn't retire. Whether solving challenges in the shop or bringing a story to life, there is always a way.
Congratulations, Eberhard, on this incredible accomplishment and thank you for continuing to inspire others through your creativity and dedication.

Receiving the Keys to the City during our 40th anniversary celebration was an incredible honour and a humbling reminder of why we do what we do.

For the past 40 years, we've had the privilege of building specialized vehicles that help first responders, municipalities, utilities, and other essential public services carry out their important work.

This recognition belongs to every employee, customer, and partner who has been part of our journey. We're grateful for the opportunity to support those who serve our communities and proud to build vehicles that help make a difference every day.

A throwback to one of ITB's biggest projects of its time.

Built in 2009 for the Centre for Hip Health & Mobility, this custom mobile research lab packed state-of-the-art bone imaging equipment, dedicated space for movement assessments, carefully planned radiation zones, along with a Wii Fit system for mobility testing.

before the lab hit the road, some of our own employees were among the first people tested as researchers collected initial data.

More than 15 years later, it's still a project that stands out as a milestone in ITB's history.
