In 1970, 25¢ got you a pamphlet chocked-full of KOA campgrounds. In 2026, we still have our KOA Directory, guiding campers throughout North America. No need to send us a quarter, though - you can keep the change. 😉

Happy , campers!

This week, we're heading to the Hoosier State’s Land of 101 Lakes. This campground is a lakeside retreat, perfectly positioned off the longest road in the U.S. This is year-round camping at its finest, whether you're here to stay or just passing through.

The amenities list at this campground is long. Like, really long. We're talking four playgrounds, co****le, volleyball, and basketball. A pristine private sandy beach. A dock for fishing and boating. Even a fish cleaning station! You could easily spend your entire trip exploring what's available right onsite. And with hundreds of campsites to choose from, every type of camper finds their perfect spot. Pro tip: if you’re bringing your four-legged camper, be sure to check out this KOA’s Paw Pen Sites.

Need to venture off-property? The campground's namesake town is just 5 miles away. Plus, you're less than three hours from Chicago, Detroit, and Indianapolis, making this the ideal home base or convenient stopover for any road trip.

So... which KOA is this? Drop your best guess in the comments below! We'll reveal the answer tomorrow. Good luck!

While KOAs offer a consistent basecamp across North America, the landscapes surrounding them are entirely unique. Take, for instance, our northernmost and southernmost campgrounds.

Up near the Arctic Circle, Fairbanks / Chena River KOA in North Pole, Alaska, sits right along the Chena River. It’s the ultimate basecamp for spotting moose and eagles, exploring the tundra, and witnessing the breathtaking Aurora Borealis.

Travel nearly 5,000 miles southeast, and you’ll trade the tundra for paradise at the Sugarloaf Key / Key West KOA Resort in the Florida Keys. Here, warm ocean waters, sunny beaches, and iguanas take center stage.

North, South, East, or West, from the pine trees to the palms, there's a KOA waiting for you. ☺️⛺️🌲🌴

It's time for , campers!

Combine prehistoric finds with all the benefits of modern camping at this week's KOA. Strategically located near Route 191, this campground is the perfect pit stop for Western road trippers.

The campground's variety of RV sites accommodates everyone, from the van lifers to the motorhome enthusiasts. Choose from pull-thru, back-in, or KOA Patio sites and spend less time setting up and more time relaxing. No RV? No problem. Stay in a ultra-comfy Deluxe Cabin or a classic tent site.

The area is known for its abundance of dino finds. Under 20 miles away is Dinosaur National Monument, where you can see over 1,500 fossils on exposed cliff face. Other state parks in the area provide boating and fishing with views of dinosaur tracks along the way. After you've channeled your inner paleontologist, camp is a welcome respite. Challenge your fellow campers to a game of horseshoes or giant jenga, cool off in the pool, or take in a movie under the stars.

The question is - what KOA are we talking about? Comment your best guess below! The answer will be revealed in tomorrow's comments.

From the ashes comes STREET CORN!!

We thought we'd try something a little different at this year's Thanksgiving corn roast… and apparently we've been serving corn wrong all these years!

The Mexican street corn was a HUGE hit! Everyone loved it, and before we even finished serving, people were already requesting it for next year.

So much for trying something new… looks like we've accidentally started another KOA tradition!

Thanks to everyone who came out and enjoyed some corn with us. Same time next year? 🌽

Bookings are open for the entire 2027 Season!! Click the link below to book!

WARNING: Coarse language - Viewer discretion is advised!

Just trying to spread a little Halloween spirit around the KOA... apparently Hayden, Gina, and Greg weren't quite as excited about it as I was!

Some reactions were better than others. Sorry, Gina! 🤣

Happy Halloween from all of us at Sturgeon Falls KOA!

🎃 TWO HALLOWEEN WEEKENDS LEFT! 🎃

Our first Halloween weekend is in the books, and if you missed it, check out the video! We still have two more chances to come camping and celebrate Halloween with us at the Sturgeon Falls KOA.

October 2–3 – Halloween Weekend #2
October 9–10 – Halloween Weekend #3 + Thanksgiving Corn Roast

We’ll have trick-or-treating throughout the campground, pumpkin carving, crafts, our site decorating contest, wagon rides and plenty of Halloween fun for the kids. We’re also adding a KOA Ghost Hunt around the campground with prizes to be won.

Our final Halloween weekend falls on Thanksgiving weekend, so we’ll be wrapping up the season with our Halloween-themed Thanksgiving Corn Roast as well.

Fall camping doesn’t last much longer! Grab the costumes, decorate the camper and come spend one more weekend around the campfire before we close for the season.

We still have sites available for both weekends, but don’t wait too long to book.

🐷 What a Pig Roast Weekend! 🎶

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made our Pig Roast Weekend such an amazing time! We couldn’t do weekends like this without all of the helping hands, delicious food, great music, and awesome people who make our KOA community what it is.

A very special thank you to our main sponsor, Shawn Lavigne with Royal LePage, for helping make this weekend possible!

We’d also like to give a big thank you to Luc & Lynn from Pellets by Murlyn for their support and contribution to the weekend!

To everyone who helped set up, serve, cook, clean, brought a dish, played some music, or simply came out and enjoyed the weekend with us... thank you so much!

Another Pig Roast is officially in the books, and we’re already looking forward to doing it all again.

We can’t wait until next year! (Sorry we didn't get any pictures of the Pig this year, we can all blame the head chef Jeremiah - Small Town Barber)
