Well it’s that time of year again and I apologize as you will probably get annoyed with the posts and updates on our progress . A little insight and history for you who may not be aware of what we are doing and our goal for this year. Sammich Sycles , my son and I have a special place in our hearts for all our Service Members past , present and future and this is our way of saying thank you ! This cause has been going a long time now and we are not the originators. The first year we raised probably somewhere in the range of 120 cans of soup the next year I believe it was just shy of 300 and last we went hard and thanks to the overwhelming generosity of customers, family, friends and the community of Strathmore we raised 3272 cans of soup. It maybe just a dream and wishful thinking but our goal this year is 4TH YEAR 4000 CANS . As of tomorrow if you are able or would like to donate a case, a few or even 1 can it would be greatly appreciated and if you can’t a simple share of this post will help us reach our goal ! All donations can be dropped off at Sammich Sycles or I can come directly to your home and collect if need be. The shop # is 403-901-4898 or cell 403-901-8069 also we will be scheduling a couple times between now and November 10th to park at the town office/kinsman Park to accept donations. If you can please support our SOUP FOR VETERANS all donations we delivered directly to THE VETERANS FOOD BANK OF CALGARY.

I probably found this funnier than it is but it kinda sums up a lot about me and explains when you call me and say can I bring my bike in and just wait for it while you do the work ? And you get my whole 5 minute spiel of why I say no . Or you call me and say can I bring my bike in and I say “sorry I’m in Nova Scotia with my boy on vacation but will gladly help you when I get back” People may consider me a weird cat but time with my mini me will always come first and I will never let working under pressure ruin the passion and love for what I do ! In nearly 20 years in the game there ain’t been many days I considered this a job I am lucky and blessed to be doing what 16 year old me would say “now that’s pretty fu***ng cool pal”and I’ve also learned there’s so much more to real wealth than money ! Wow that post turned into a babble session 🤣 shop re opens on the 23rd see you then and thank you all for the continued support.

The last little job just left , sea cans , yard and shop are empty seems weird lol . Now for 3 weeks of no bikes , seafood , the ocean and clean hands 🤣

Canmore bound , couldn’t ask for a better day. That is if I wasn’t working and riding my scooter to Canmore ! Oh well on the brighter side of things I woke up on the right side of the dirt this morning 🤣
