We’re proud to share that Paul Jefford has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of The Howard Group – overseeing financial operations for both Capital Auto Group and Howard Properties.

A long-standing member of our organization, Paul has over 15 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant (CA) / Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) – with a strong background in both industry and public practice. He joined Capital Auto Group in 2017 and advanced to Financial Controller in 2022.

The Howard Group is pleased to announce the appointments of Matt Kelland as Vice President of Operations and Mark Power as Vice President of Automotive.

Matt will provide strategic oversight across The Howard Group’s corporate functions, while Mark will lead all automotive operations. Their leadership, industry knowledge, and commitment to the business will play a key role in supporting the continued growth and long-term success of The Howard Group.

Established in 2025, The Howard Group brings together the company’s automotive and real estate businesses under a unified corporate structure, aligning Capital Auto Group and Howard Properties. Under the leadership of CEO Jon Howard and COO Jordan Howard — and with recent milestones including the acquisition of Capital Ford Lincoln, the opening of Capital Mitsubishi’s new facility, and the start of a major downtown St. John’s redevelopment — the group is positioned for growth in 2026.
