Newco Metal & Auto Recycling Ltd is proud to play a part in the Ronald McDonald House Pull Tab Program. Almost $1000.00 worth a pull tab donated at Newco locations in 2025. Newco matched the amount donated by the public for today’s donation of $2000.00.
Turning aluminum metal value into funds for operating costs and services for families with ill children. The Management and Staff of Newco province wide are proud to play a part in this much needed charity.
The general public, schools, and businesses within the province are encouraged to collect the pull tabs the then drop them off to the nearest of the 12 Newco locations throughout the province.

Newco Metal & Auto Recycling Ltd requires an experienced Tow Truck Driver / Labourer.
This will be for our 210 Grand Bank Highway, Marystown NL location.
Join a team that takes pride in their responsibility for providing a healthy, safe and comfortable working environment.
Hours and shift to be discussed.
Drivers abstract required.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Able to work in a busy service environment.
Perform assigned duties as assigned and work cooperatively with other staff.
Wear personal protective equipment as required for the position.
Must have air brake endorsement, and a clean driver abstract must be provided on an annual basis.
Musts include:
•Positive attitude and great communication skills
•Willingness to be accountable for your responsibilities
•Show pride in maintaining high standards
•Dependable in showing up for shifts consistently and on time
•Willingness to take on additional duties when deemed necessary and being adaptable to change.

Office Receptionist
Duties Include:
• General office duties, including receiving/distributing emails, answering/directing calls etc.
• Entering/organizing scale tickets and roll off bin requests.
• Customer relations, including inquiries and serving customers is part of the duties.
• Entering/tracking trucking information.
• Open to learning to use specialized computer scales/dispatch systems as required.
• Responsible for cash payout for scrap metal purchases and recording daily cash transactions.
• Other duties, as directed by senior management
• Work daily shifts 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday weekly.
General office and computer skills would be an asset. Knowledge and experience with Excel and MS Office are key requirements. Certificate of Good Conduct is required and must be bondable.

* Journey person Heavy Equipment / Truck and Trailer mechanics required.
* 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year Heavy Equipment / Truck and Trailer Mechanics
The positions are at our 7 Clyde Ave, Mount Pearl Location.
As a local company always looking outside the box we may have a position for you. Are you an mechanic with a lifetime of service experience or a new mechanic wanting to obtain experience and the required hours to move ahead in the industry. We would like to talk with you.
As a mechanic for Newco you will be responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, supervising apprentices, etc. Passing along your experience to new people in the industry. Applicants with life experience are also welcome.
JOB DUTIES
• Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance
services
• Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical,
hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles
and equipment
• Performs maintenance related work as required
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety
procedures
• Other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS
• Valid Drivers license
• Strong work ethic
• First Aid Certificate considered an asset but not a
requirement
• Physical requirements of this position include the ability
to lift items up to 50 pounds, and
occasionally must work at shoulder level with equipment
weighing up to 25 pounds
