Dear customers, friends & family,
It is with a very heavy heart that I am forced to make this post. They say all good things come to an end, and unfortunately, this time it is NL Light Bars & Offroad Accessories. NLLB will be ceasing operations the end of September.
For the past 10 years I have put nearly every waking hour into growing this business and made endless personal sacrifices to keep the business growing and thriving. I have made amazing friends from customers, employees, suppliers, and everyone else along the way. There has been nothing more rewarding than seeing the look of joy on a customers face when we give them back the keys to their truck, or being thanked for getting a customer out of a last minute jam.
Unfortunately, due to actions and decisions made by my former business partner, I am forced to make this incredibly difficult decision to close the business. If I can give one piece of advice to anyone, it would be to never start a business with someone. It doesn’t matter that you have known someone since they were 14 years old, played sports together, worked jobs together, and considered them a friend for years. At the end of the day, most people will take advantage of you and stab you in the back to get themselves ahead without a second thought for anyone else.. After my former business partner took massive business loans for personal use, he ended up filing bankruptcy, sticking me with all of the loans and money owing. I debated telling the full story, however thanks to my legal team, I will be taking legal action and can not give any details outside of information that is public knowledge.
We will be selling off most of our inventory, as well as retail fixtures such as shelves, displays, warehouse pallet racking, and some of our garage equipment. A great time to get a fantastic deal on some accessories! Stop by or shoot us a message! Tons of tonneau covers, shocks, window visors, hood deflectors, lights and more going for cheap! Please stop by if you are interested in anything. We will be posting a ton of items over the next few days.
As for customers with items ordered or appointments booked. Don’t worry, anyone who has items paid for that they are waiting to pickup or to arrive, you will still get them. Please bear with us if you don’t hear from us right away. You will get your orders! As for appointments, I will be calling everyone to discuss your options. We will not be placing any new orders. Any of our brand items, we will be honoring warranty while supplies last. But unfortunately we can not order anymore. Any warranty claims for other brands I will still be overseeing and working to get them covered the best I can for you.
Once again I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for supporting NLLB over the years. Looking back and remembering when I delivered our first light bar we sold to a good customer in the Kent parking lot, to now working law enforcement vehicles and installing amazing lifts and accessories building dream trucks I know I wouldn’t have made it this long without all of you. That includes all of the customers, employees both past and present, suppliers, family and friends. I also want to deeply apologize to anyone over the years that I was not able to find a satisfactory solution for or get the outcome everyone would have liked. I know our service hasn't been what it use to be over the past year, and I wish I could have explained why at the time. I tried my best to do what I could, but with everything that was happening behind the scenes it took so much of a toll on me physically and mentally that I did let customer service slide. That is on me, and I hope atleast some people can forgive me.
Once the dust settles and the lawsuit that is in motion against former parties is resolved, I plan to be back with a new business to provide another automotive accessories option and services to my fellow Newfoundlanders and Labradorians and get back to what I love to do. Put a smile on customers faces and build cool s**t. This isn’t goodbye forever. Just for now.
