Today, our family of companies is proud to say thank you and offer a huge congratulations to our team leader, Dan Matthews.

Last night, Dan received the P.J. Gardiner Newfoundland and Labrador Entrepreneur of the Year Award at Memorial University’s Faculty of Business Partners Celebration. This award recognizes and celebrates the achievements and entrepreneurial spirit of innovators who strengthen our province’s economy and business community while serving as role models for today’s youth.

Dan grew up in the automotive business and was mentored by strong leaders who helped shape his people-first approach and work ethic. In a short time, he has built one of the top Volkswagen stores in Canada, led Audi to national recognition as a top national store for the past three years, expanded and enhanced the collision repair business at Bodyworks, and helped bring Middle Ridge Outfitters to life.

Dan’s approach to business is equally reflected in his commitment to community. The number of local charities, groups, individuals, and organizations that have quietly benefitted from his belief in giving back is extensive.

Seeking the spotlight has never been Dan’s style. But today, he’ll have to take one for the team.
