Mechyannick Automotive Clinic is looking to hire an Automotive Technician.

We are the Squamish European & imports specialists and are looking for an experienced mechanic with excellent knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.

The successful candidate will need to be able to:-
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues
- Be comfortable talking with clients to discover problems with their vehicles
- Communicate repairs and recommendations with service writers
- Keep their work area clean and maintain equipment and tools to a high standard
- Abide by safety policies and procedures

We would prefer if the candidate has a red seal certificate, however, not necessary if you can prove your experience. Don’t have a toolbox? No problem, we can accommodate.

We value work-life balance and work 4 days a week / 3 days off.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$47.00 per hour + healthcare benefits after probation period.

I know I have a reputation of being hard ass/straight shooter /my way or the highway... But please just remember this comes from me really caring at the deepest of my core, safety is extremely important to me!

This is a photo of a vehicle we inspected last week (broken brake line that has been patched together with jb weld 😱) I have seen my share of bandaid /or just complete hack jobs that throws shivers down my spine

But this is by far some of the most interesting (I'm being more than polite here) job I've seen in my career... What I'm trying to say here, is your or/and others lives worth saving a few dollars??
Cause clearly who ever did this doesn't care about yours...

Job Description: We are looking for a communicative, reliable and customer-focused Service Writer/Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be the bridge between our technicians and our customers, ensuring that all vehicle repairs and services are communicated clearly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
• Greet customers and answer their questions regarding vehicle services and repairs.
• Keep customers updated on the status of their vehicles and any additional work that may be required.
• Provide estimates for services and repairs, and obtain customer approval before proceeding with additional work.
• Keep track of parts arrival and returns related to vehicle parts and materials.

Qualifications:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of automotive industry and repairs is a big plus but not required as we will train you!
• Ability to explain complex technical information to customers in an easy-to-understand manner. (We will help you on that!)
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills is a must and familiarity with automotive service software is a plus.
• Previous experience in a customer service role, especially in the automotive industry, is preferred.
