Supplying your own parts? Here’s a story for you 👇🏼
Recently a customer of mine called me on a holiday weekend and told me his truck was dumping oil up a local FSR. I immediately went up to go rescue the vehicle, and on inspection I discovered that a recently installed part had failed. Because I had supplied the parts, and they were bought through a local auto part store where a fast return, warranty and replacement will be a smooth process, I was also able to temporarily fix their vehicle so that it was drivable that afternoon 👏🏻
Had the customer supplied their own parts, not only would this weekend call-out cost them money, they also would have been down a vehicle until they reordered the part to replace it.
