Winterizing your jacks can add years to the life of your jacks.Your camper jacks should not be used to store the camper for the winter. I recommend that after the camper has been unloaded from the pickup truck for winter storage that it be lowered onto either blocks or some other stable supports.p Then push down on the linkage until it is inside the pump assembly. This will protect it from being exposed to weather .It is best to cover the pump assembly or upper portion of the jack with a plastic bag to protect it from the weather. Push the bottom of the jack up and secure the catch to the fastened position .To prevent rusting every month the bottom shaft should be unfastened , lowered and pushed back up to fasted position ...this will re- oil the inner shaft to prevent corroding rust rings that can form on the inner shaft that will cause the jack to not run smoothly or may cause leakage.

The Hijacker camper jack is used to steady, load and unload campers that slide into the bed of a truck. The jacks are not used to store the camper. If the jack will not pump, it may not have enough hydraulic oil inside the reservoir. Fill it with oil and prime it to extend the life of the jack. If the jack still does not pump,call me and I can fix it . I also sell top end repair kits if you want to tackle it yourself. My kits include comprehensive instructions ,O-rings (various sizes) clevis and cotter pins , tools to assist in removing the O-rings and a plug to stop oil loss and make it possible to do your repair without removing it from your camper.

The Hijacker camper jack is used to steady, load and unload campers that slide into the bed of a truck. The jacks are not used to store the camper. If the jack will not pump, it may not have enough hydraulic oil inside the reservoir. Fill it with oil and prime it to extend the life of the jack. If the jack still does not pump, it is likely in need of a top end repair This can be done using a Restoration Jacks repair kit, that comes with easy instructions, o-rings,the necessary pins to replace, tools for ease of repair and a plug to prevent loss of oil if repairing while still attached to the camper.
