We’ve had a lot to celebrate at Light of the Prairies recently, and we’re so proud to recognize two very deserving recipients of this year’s SARC Awards!

Kelly McRuvie – Good Neighbour Award
Our very own Kelly was recognized for her kindness, generosity, and the positive impact she makes on those around her. Kelly truly embodies our Do Love First philosophy, and we couldn't be prouder to see her recognized!

❤️ 40 YEARS IN BUSINESS… AND AN HONOUR WE WILL NEVER FORGET! ❤️

We are incredibly honoured, humbled, and grateful to share that Competition Muffler, Shocks, Tires & Auto Repair was nominated by Light of the Prairies and received the SARC Community Builder Award! 🏆❤️

The SARC Community Builder Award is a provincial recognition celebrating businesses, organizations, and individuals who make a meaningful and positive difference in their communities. Presented by SARC, an organization dedicated to supporting inclusion and people experiencing disabilities throughout Saskatchewan, this award is something truly special to us.

Last week, Darin had the honour of attending the SARC Awards Banquet to accept this incredible award on behalf of Competition Muffler. He also had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people involved with SARC and learn more about the amazing work they do throughout Saskatchewan.

For 40 years, Competition Muffler has been about more than just fixing vehicles. It's been about people, relationships, giving back, and supporting the community that has supported us for four decades. ❤️

We want to extend a very special THANK YOU to Light of the Prairies for nominating us and believing that our efforts in the community deserved this recognition. We are truly touched.

To every customer, friend, local business, volunteer, and organization that has supported our fundraisers and community initiatives year after year — THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!

None of what we do would be possible without the generosity of those who donate, participate, volunteer, and support the causes that mean so much to us.

As we celebrate our 40th year in business, being recognized with an award like this is honestly overwhelming in the best possible way. We never started giving back for recognition. We do it because we believe in helping others and making a difference wherever we can.

We are more than just an auto repair shop. We are COMMUNITY. ❤️

This award may have Competition Muffler's name on it, but in our hearts, it belongs to everyone who has helped us give back over the years.

From Darin , Michelle and the entire Competition Muffler team, THANK YOU for 40 incredible years of support and through many changes and alot of growth and for helping us make a difference.

❤️ 40 years of business. 40 years of community. One incredible honour. And a whole lot of gratitude. ❤️

It’s that time again for our Kids Winter Gear - Coats for Kids Project with Rock 102.

If you're cleaning out closets this fall and have children’s winter items (toddler to adult sizes) that are gently used but no longer fit or are just taking up space, I would love to take them off your hands!

All year long I collect items for Coats for Kids through my workplace. In the fall, we donate everything to the Coats for Kids campaign. The items are distributed in the fall, and my goal this year is to collect more than we did last year!

We are looking for items such as:🧥 Coats👖 Ski pants / snow pants🧤 Mitts & gloves🧣 Scarves🧢 Toques🥾 Winter boots. Your donations help keep kids warm during our Saskatchewan winters and help make sure they can get to school and stay active. Every item makes a difference. Adult sizes help as some children are bigger sizes as well parents do not have the proper gear to walk their children to school .

If you wish you can also purchase new items if you would like to donate to an amazing cause , you can also donate to [email protected] and I will purchase items for you 💗every toque , every pair of mitts , every item we get helps a child in need !

❄️Thank you in advance for your generosity! Drop off at the office Monday to Thursday 730 am- 5 pm and Friday’s 730 am to 1 pm ! Rock 102
