Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced AUTOMOTIVE PAINTER to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and finishing surfaces to meet quality standards. This role requires a strong focus on safety, precision, and efficiency to ensure high-quality results.
Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper paint adhesion
Apply paint, primer, and coatings
Mix paints and other materials to achieve desired colors and finishes
Inspect work for quality, consistency, and smoothness; perform touch-ups as needed
Follow safety protocols and use protective gear during all painting activities
Maintain clean work areas and properly store tools and materials
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specifications
PPG Refinish an asset but not required
Skills
Proven experience in automotive repair or dealership painting is an asset
Automotive knowledge related to vehicle or equipment maintenance is a plus
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during preparation and application processes
Familiarity with automotive painting techniques
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
