Update on Craig — likely the last one for a while.

Craig is home. I was able to rent a hospital bed and the other equipment he needs. I’m so grateful to have him back, but I’m also incredibly frustrated with our healthcare system. I understand things are strained, but he wasn’t sponge-bathed, fed regularly, or communicated with — aside from being told he needed to be discharged because they needed the bed.

On a positive note, he’s now cleaned up, fed, and genuinely happy to be home. Thank you again to everyone for your support during this difficult and overwhelming time💖

A quick update on Craig:
He was up walking today with his brace and walker, and he did really well! We’re still waiting to hear from the case worker to understand what equipment we’ll need and how everything will be set up at home for his return. There are still a lot of moving parts and not many clear answers yet, but for now the plan is for him to stay in the living room until he’s able to manage the 15 stairs to the bedroom.

I learned how to put his braces on and take them off, which is one step forward.

I want to apologize for the many messages and calls I haven’t been able to respond to yet

Update on Craig:

He is still in the hospital and will likely be there for ahwile. We finally have a clearer understanding of his injuries — a T12 burst fracture.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to respond individually, but please know how much your messages mean to us. Your support during this time has not gone unnoticed, and we truly appreciate those who genuinely care about Craig and our family💖

Thank you to everyone who has been reaching out about Craig. I’m overwhelmed and unable to reply to messages at the moment, but please know the medical team and first responders are keeping him as comfortable as possible. We will provide updates once we have more information.
