To the Sportsman classes and beyond: I know everyone is trying to get the most speed and performance for their budget, but when it comes to safety, I always encourage investing in the best products possible to help ensure we all make it home to our families.

A fuel cell is one area where some people are tempted to cut corners because it “just holds fuel,” but that isn’t the case. This was the fuel cell from Steve Halpin’s Pro Stock that was damaged this weekend. Because it was a bladder-style cell, not a single drop of fuel leaked, and Steve walked away safely.

Had this been a lower-quality fuel cell, the outcome could have been much different. Situations like this are a reminder that quality safety components matter.

We’ll get it rebuilt and be ready to go again on July 4th at Speedway 660.

Stay safe, and remember: speed is important, but getting home to your family is what matters most.

Greg Fahey and his Fahey Racing / AEH Motorsports team crossed the stripe P2 after 150 laps with the SLMS at Speedway 660 in NB, Canada. These GD Fabrication & Race Cars customers race a Robert Hamke chassis with CRF front clip & turn left with Precision Built Spindles. Congratulations Team!

Contingency Prize Winner: Crew Chief of the Race presented by Race CRF and GD Fabrication & Racecars

Congrats to Robb Messer, Crew Chief of the RYAN Motorsports #1 for Ryan Messer, on earning the inaugural Crew Chief of the Race Award!

Robb certainly earned the award - this team ran into a multitude of problems from fuel issues to drive line issues. An hour before start time, this team didn't think they would even get to race! Digging deep, they rallied, got the car running, and wheeled to a heat race victory and a 4th place feature finish!

The Crew Chief of the Race Award has been started to recognize hard working crew members who help make this sport go around! The Crew Chief of the 4th place finisher each race will receive a prize and recognition from GD Fabrication and CRF Chassis!

After the first race of the year with 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th place finishes from our cars in the SLMS Series at Petty Raceway, we went back to work Tuesday.

We’re not happy with our performance, and knowing we have to be better starts here. I hold myself accountable and expect more.

The ones who want to succeed — and the ones who have succeeded know the amount of dedication and work it takes. We’ll keep putting in the effort and our days will come.

It was a busy day at Petty International Raceway yesterday with RYAN Motorsports in preparation for the May 16th Super Late Model Series race. We put the work in, now let’s get the results!

Well this one brings back memories! What was the shop car for years is now in the hands of Tylor Hawes. Tylor bought this from us in the fall and put his drivetrain and seat in it over the winter then brought it back for final setup. Thank you Tylor for choosing us and Race CRF.
