With the weather starting to change, we want to remind everyone to take their time and be safe on the highways. Ice and snow can happen anywhere. Tires make a difference too so get those winter tires on. Here comes the winter season so be prepared.

It goes without saying you need insurance. We have picked up many vehicles who don't have insurance from time to time. However the process for those vehicles to be released is very different compared to other vehicles impounded here.

So with that being said the release procedure has and will continue to be this. If you have an uninsured vehicle impounded here you must show proof of insurance before we will accept payment for this vehicle and then release it back to you. The tow and storage bill for these sorts of vehicles is different then the others that come in.

The payment plan is for those vehicles whos bills are much higher for the reason they have been towed. We try our best to accommodate the situation at hand. There are times where that doesn't always work out. Just remember if your vehicles insurance is important and needed before it can be paid for and leave the property. Call us if you need to ask questions regarding your vehicle and we will work with you to get it back.

A 17-year-old driver, with an intermediate licence, was caught at 4:04pm yesterday doing 166 km/h in a 90 zone, on Highway 256, in the RM of Pipestone. Fined $1058 + Serious Offence Notice for licence review with MPI.

Now our towing and service truck services are accessible pretty well 24/7 365, the office/compound location is a lil bit more controlled. Now unless you phone us and make arrangements with one of the 3 of us to come and do something with a vehicle we have please try to come in decent time periods. We always try to accommodate with everyone as best we can because we understand that people have their lives too. And remember that we ask you to call before you come to make sure everything is set up for your visit.

And more roads may wash out as the spring goes on. Drive safe people and dont chance anything.

Manitoba RCMP are warning travellers- DO NOT attempt to drive on Highway 10 near the junction of Highway 77 and Highway 10 south of Mafeking as these roads/bridges are washed out and may collapse. Do not drive around barricades that are in place. NEVER drive on a closed or barricaded road.
