A little while back our Volvo VISTA team “Adaptive Crews” had the exciting opportunity to be featured on CTV News!

As one of the only three teams in North America selected to make it to the VISTA World Finals in Sweden, we were proud to welcome the CTV crew into our Regina location to chat with the team about what the competition is all about, the skills it takes to compete, and the challenges our team of technicians has had to overcome along the way.

It was an honour to not only showcase our incredible team and the talent of our technicians, but also put Saskatchewan Trucking on the map once again while highlighting the amazing people and careers that keep our industry moving forward! Sometimes trucks are more than just a piece of equipment, they’re part of a story!

A new feature from Jim Park of Truck News takes a look at our founder, Sterling Hornoi, and his passion for preserving the trucks that shaped his life, and the collection of historic trucks and cars that have become a unique part of our legacy.

From his 1957 Fargo D700 that he drove at the age of 19, to some of the Hayes trucks that built our dealership into what it is today; these trucks tell the story of an industry, our company, and a lifelong passion for trucking and mechanical expertise! Preserving that history is an important part of remembering where we came from and the people and machines that helped shape the road we are on today!

It's hard to believe it has already almost been a month since our "Day With The Fuel Efficiency Experts” event here at our Regina shop! We wanted to look back at some of the pics and highlights from such an amazing day!

We truly cannot believe the turnout we had, and we once again just have to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out to join us. From the optimized trucks and trailers displayed & demo’d by Bickner Trucking, 306 Logistics, and 4-D Transportation, to the incredible lineup of industry partners sharing their products, knowledge, and time listening to Saskatchewan's industry leaders, it was a day packed with great conversations and ideas.

Since the big day, we have been taking everything we presented and putting it all together behind the scenes. We have been working on some of the best fuel-efficiency packages we can put together, and some great deals to go with them! So, if you’re looking for ways to improve fuel mileage, reduce operating costs, and get more out of your truck and trailer, keep your eyes open and stay tuned! We’ve got lots more coming from this event, including tips, findings, real-world results, and some spec packages you’re not going to want to miss!

Today we want to congratulate our new friends at Field Flow Logistics on picking up their newest Volvo VNR & VNL units!

Field Flow Logistics is a Saskatchewan-based agricultural hauler. From farms, to elevators, terminals, and beyond, their crew keeps Saskatchewan's agriculture industry moving everyday. As Field Flow’s operations have expanded, they have acquired a handful of new trucks from us over the past few months. With the help of our truck experts, Field Flow has purchased a range of different VNL and VNR trucks to make sure they have the properly spec’d equipment for each of their business lines!

We sincerely thank the entire team at Field Flow Logistics for their continued trust, support, and partnership. A few weeks back , we welcomed in reps and managers from companies all across North America for our “Day With The Fuel Efficiency Experts” event. While they were here, we had to ask them what they thought of their first time in Saskatchewan. And their answers remind us why we are so proud to call this place home!

Sometimes when you see something every day, it’s easy to overlook just how special the little things about this place are! It often takes an outside perspective to remind you that the wide-open skies, welcoming people, and golden fields are what really make this province one of a kind!

10 years ago, John Bickner’s fleet was averaging around 4.54 mpg. Today that number has improved drastically - as he is achieving better than 9 mpg while hauling Super B Grain and Liquid Trailers. We want to give a huge congratulations to our very own Lewis Hadwin on officially becoming a Red Seal Parts Technician!

Lewis has been a part of the Sterling Truck & Trailer team for the past 9 years, serving as a Parts Technician out of our Lloydminster location. As the son of our Lloydminster Branch Manager David Hadwin, it's safe today he is a true part of our family. But beyond that Lewis has built his own reputation through hard work, determination, and a commitment to excellence.

Lewis has always been eager to go the extra mile, continually expanding his knowledge and taking on new challenges and tasks. Achieving his Red Seal certification is a true testament to his ambition, dedication, and the pride he takes in his work!

We can thank Lewis enough for his loyalty and commitment to not just the Lloydminster branch but the Sterling Truck And Trailer team as a whole. We are so excited to continue watching him grow, share his expertise, and help raise the standard for us all! His go-getter attitude is going to take him to amazing places and we are so happy to be by his side!

Congratulations again Lewis! This achievement is incredibly well deserved and we couldn't be prouder to have you on the team.

Wow, what a day! We want to send a huge thank you to everyone who joined us last Friday at our shop in Regina for our “Day with the Fuel Efficiency Experts” event!

While new this year, this event has been years in the making. Built around our ongoing partnership with John and Todd Bickner of Bickner Trucking out of Vanguard SK. We’ve been working together to develop and build the ultimate optimized heavy duty truck with efficiency in mind. And if you’ve seen John's fuel mileage numbers recently, you know why we wanted to bring everyone together to hear about how it was done!

A big thank you to our industry partners from Volvo Trucks North America, AirDog Heavy Duty Fuel Systems, Hot Shot's Secret, FlowBelow Aero, Advance Engineered Products, and Dana Spicer for coming to share their products, knowledge, and expertise with customers throughout the day! As well we need to give a big thank you to Jim Park with Truck News for coming to cover the story and the team at STA joining us to connect with members and hear what they had to say.

We're also super grateful to the teams at Bickner Trucking, 306 Logistics, and 4-D Transportation for bringing their own optimized-spec trucks and trailers so everyone could get an up-close look at what these fuel-efficient builds are all about, and even go for a ride in them!

To everyone that attended, thank you for making this event such a success!
