🔧 TEAM MEMBER SPOTLIGHT | MEET BEN 🔧
At The Red Deer Mechanics, the people behind the tools are a big part of what makes our shop what it is. Today, we’re introducing Ben, one of the newest members of our team.
Ben joined us about 2½ months ago as a mechanic, with a particular focus on GM pickups.
Like many people in the trade, Ben’s path into automotive repair started close to home. His dad owned the shop where he got his start — although Ben admits there was a little extra motivation involved: "I owed my dad money, and Dad owned the shop I started at.”
When asked what he enjoys most about the job, Ben gave us a short and very honest answer: “The end of the day.” 😄
Behind the humour, Ben has a philosophy about vehicle repair that we can definitely get behind. When asked what he wishes customers understood about vehicle maintenance, he explained: “My goal is to keep them as far away from me for as long as possible.” And that’s actually a pretty good way to describe what we aim for: repair and maintain your vehicle properly so you can spend more time on the road and less time in the shop.
Ben describes the atmosphere at The Red Deer Mechanics as respectful and playful, while summing up the day-to-day pace with one word: busy.
As for his most memorable moment since joining the team? Let’s just say it involved an expensive tire and a lesson he won’t soon forget. 😄
We’re glad to have Ben as part of The Red Deer Mechanics team and look forward to having him grow with the shop.
