Not something I get to do too often anymore — machining brake drums today!

Definitely brings me back. There’s something satisfying about setting up an old-school brake lathe and giving a set of drums a fresh, clean surface instead of just replacing parts.

Setting up and checking another wheel alignment! 🔧

The alignment readings showed the vehicle was toed out, which was contributing to an off-centre steering wheel and a noticeable pull while driving.

We corrected the alignment, centred the steering wheel, and got everything back where it should be. Proper alignment isn’t just about tire wear — it can make a huge difference in how your vehicle feels and handles on the road.

Summer is winding down, kids are getting ready to head back to school, people are returning from holidays, and routines are starting up again. For some, this time of year also means a fresh start and a new chapter.

We’re feeling a few of those changes here at the shop too.

After more than a year with us, Alex Hart has decided to take a different career path and will be moving on We’re grateful for all of his hard work and everything he brought to the team, and we wish him nothing but the best in whatever comes next.

Michael Gamache has also wrapped up his summer job with us and is heading back to school. It was great having the extra set of hands around the shop this summer, and we really appreciate all of his help.

Change can always feel a little bittersweet, but it’s also exciting to watch people move into the next stage of their lives.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who has been part of our team, helped us through another busy summer, and continues to support our little shop.

Here’s to new seasons, new routines and new beginnings.

What a special gift. ❤️

Our longtime client Wendy surprised the whole team today with two homemade cinnamon loafs — and even made enough for one very lucky client who happened to be waiting while their vehicle was being serviced! (Only one pictured as the other was already eaten)

It truly makes our day when someone goes out of their way to show their appreciation like this. We’re incredibly fortunate to have clients who have become such a special part of our shop over the years.

Thank you so much, Wendy. The cinnamon loaf was absolutely delicious and very much appreciated by all of us! 😊
