Got to work on a nice Jaguar 2007 XType today after a good day of already working on lift trucks.

Customer complaint : front passenger headlight not working:

Cause : 2 wires defeated and a dead Fuse. One badly grounded wire and also corroded, receptacle also damaged and losing connection to the wire which it holds in place. The Headlight bulb wiring from previous mechanic only twisted and taped together improperly, also, broken connecter at the tang.

Repair : solder wiring and shrink tube the connections to give solid connection. Replace receptacle and cut a few inches off of the corroded wire to make the contact perfect. Replace fuse.

Add some fish and you got a cool aquarium 😎 - if this happens you will need a new casing and possibly bulbs. Also wiring could be in trouble. Get a mechanic to verify the electrical still works and make sure the fish are ok 🐠
