Well, the final .racingclub race of the year didn't quite go to plan. Several of us in the VLR class were lacking top end power, which (after a lot of brainstorming and trial and error) we believe was caused by issues with our fuel. Such is life though, you win some and you lose some, and I was pretty happy to still come away with a P2 this weekend despite the troubles.

Though I wasn't able to send this season off with a bang, I can't say it wasn't a good one. I enjoyed getting to dip my toes back into cars and endurance racing, and am looking forward to more of that next year! In the meantime, I'm looking forward to a winter off to spend more time with family and indulging my other hobbies (read: let it snow!)

Had a great weekend at Lucky Dog Racing League at The Ridge! For a car that is famously unreliable, Bugz the Lotus sure put in some work and ran flawlessly all weekend, which compounded the great P3 result we managed on Sunday. Great times, great team, fantastic result for a car and team that came together only a month before the race!

Well, it's been one hell of a year. Unfortunately, my top ten result that I was trying for was so close on Sunday, but sadly it wasn't quite to be. We'll keep looking forward and making sure to have fun, there's always another race, especially as we're almost ready to start the season here at home!

For a little bit of fun, I've pulled some stats on this season:

- 20,000kms driven to/from race tracks
- 13,000kms flown to/from race tracks
- 3 different engine packages raced
- ~1800 laps completed
- 30 sets of new tires
- 3 different brands of tires used
- 34 race days (not including practise/qualifying days)
- 4 steering columns bent
- 2 tie rods bent
- 5 Tie rod ends bent
- 2 rims smashed
- 3 Kingpins bent
- 1 axle bent
- 1 Chassis bent
- 2 engines blown (don't drive through sand without an air filter, kids)
- 10 billion bottles of water drunk (probably)
- A ridiculous amount of smiles

It was a character-building weekend in Phoenix. I've never had my lap times tank so spectacularly, and in such a short period of time. All there is left to do is learn from it, brush it off, and carry on to Sonoma in 6 weeks time.

It's been a great couple of days down here in Tucson, AZ at the first two rounds of for the 2023 season! There were some ups and downs throughout the weekend, but I'm proud of the lap times I was able to put in, and of the lessons learned. I'll take those forward to the next round in Phoenix and see if we can't crack the top ten 💪

A weekend to forget. Thanks to Vemmekart LvPro Components for the excellent support and chassis, I'm sorry I wasn't able to get a result to be proud of for you guys. Illness got the better of me this week, but at the end of the day I could and should have done better.

Tough couple days here at ROK the Rio. Crashed out of Heat 1, and finished 36th, 33rd, and 41st in heats 2-4. Pace has improved slightly, but the results have been disappointing. Hoping for some luck in the final tomorrow.

Rough day today. Been sliding slowly to the back of the grid since practise 2, and then crashed heavily in T11 during the opening laps of qualifying. Kart is fixed, changes are made and we're ready to start climbing the order again in the morning.
