My tech tip to anyone buying tires
First Pic is a brand new tire , manufactured 6 month of 2024
Second Pic is a tire manufactured 16th week of 2017
Third Pic is a tire manufactured for a manufacturer 39th week of 2020
Buying snow tires that have tread on them doesn't mean they're any good. The second set were brought to me and purchased as 2 year old tires. These tires hold air and are not suitable for winter use anymore.
They are now so hard they could be hockey pucks, hockey pucks slide on ice .
Do yourself a favor and arm yourself with this information. Normal rule = anything more than 4 years old is not worth buying. Hope this helps someone.
P.s. every tire manufactured has to have these markings.
