The weather had other plans, so did we.

After Hours: Japan still happened. AutoCore’s new location felt like the right place to open the season. Chrome Ink and bisa both showcased art, a live wrap going down in the shop, the Japan GP collection out in the world for the first time, and Never Enough pulling up with tacos that had no business being that good.

The vibes felt right,that's all that mattered.

With thunderstorms and rain in the forecast throughout the evening, we’ve made the decision to postpone AFTER HOURS: JAPAN to Saturday, June 13th.

As much as we were looking forward to launching this weekend, we don’t want to compromise the experience, the artwork, the vehicles, or everyone’s safety. We’d rather wait one more week and do it properly.

The BMW M3 G80 is already aggressive from the factory, but reducing weight up front changes the way the whole car feels.

For this build, we sourced and installed a full carbon fibre hood to clean up the front-end weight and sharpen the driving response. Paired with full PPF protection and a ValveTronic exhaust setup, the car now feels just as refined as it looks.

Once the hood arrived, our job was making sure everything sat exactly the way it should. Panel gaps, body lines, and weave alignment all had to flow properly so the finish looked consistent from every angle.

The exhaust setup on this build was not about making the car louder for the sake of it. It was about bringing back the tone the chassis already deserved. Cold starts feel sharper, downshifts carry more presence, and the car finally sounds as aggressive as it looks.

You notice it immediately pulling out of the shop. Just a setup that fits the car properly.

Carbon on the G80 M3 changes the front of the car immediately. It looks sharper, but it is also more exposed to daily wear.

We applied paint protection film to the carbon hood to preserve the finish and prevent chips and surface damage. Carbon is not easy to repair cleanly, so protecting it early keeps it looking right long term.

The key detail is how the film sits over the weave. If it is not laid properly, it can distort the pattern or trap edges that show over time. Taking the time here keeps the surface clear and consistent.

It keeps the focus on the carbon, not the damage.

The front end of the G80 M3 carries more weight than it needs to. You feel it as much as you see it.

We swapped in a full carbon hood to bring that weight down and clean up the response. It changes how the car settles into corners and under braking, not just the way it looks.

Getting the fit right was key. Carbon moves slightly with heat, so alignment now keeps everything consistent later. The weave was also lined up so it reads properly from every angle.

Lighter, sharper, and more composed.

Ambient lighting has its place.
This is something else entirely.

A true starlight headliner is not about brightness. It’s about placement, depth, and how the light sits when everything else is off.

Each fiber is individually installed and mapped across the headliner to create a natural spread, not a pattern that feels repeated or forced. Behind it, everything is organized properly. Clean routing, controlled light source, and cable management that does not interfere with the structure of the car.

This is the difference between a quick install and something that actually feels integrated.

Two weeks after every PPF/Wrap install, we bring the client back in.

Not because something went wrong.
Because this is when everything has fully settled.

Film, edges, moisture, pressure points. They all stabilize after the vehicle has been driven, washed, and exposed to real conditions. That’s the moment where attention to detail matters most.

We include a complimentary inspection to make sure everything is sitting exactly how it should, and more importantly, how we expect it to.

It’s not a redo... It’s part of the standard.

Most places finish the job when the car leaves.
We consider it finished when it holds up outside the shop.
