NEW ORV BYLAW ADOPTED
At the August 11, 2026 Council meeting, Council adopted the District of 100 Mile House Off-Road Vehicle Bylaw No. 1482, 2026.
The bylaw establishes designated routes for off-road vehicle (ORV) use within the District and outlines requirements for safe and responsible operation.
ORV operators must:
Have a valid RCMP Access Permit
Carry required registration and insurance documentation, including $2 million in third-party liability insurance
Have a valid driver’s licence
Follow posted speed limits and all applicable provincial requirements
Wear required safety equipment
📍 Important: ORVs are not permitted in municipal parks and may only be operated on the designated routes identified on the approved map.
The ORV Bylaw No. 1482, 2026 and designated trail/route is available on the District of 100 Mile House website or at the District Office.
