Hello Facebook land, Lake friends and family! Other than a bit of catering, Sporty's Restaurant & Pizzeria is officially closed for the 2026 Season! On behalf of the entire team, thank YOU for an incredible year! The weather was not the best, but like any good Manitoban's, we made the best of it and of course, we will forget about it by next summer!

We 100% appreciate the ongoing love and support, we are so very lucky & blessed to be a part of this place.

We would also like to thank the team that holds it all down here as well! Without these great people, our lives would be much different!! YOU are AWESOME!

Have a great fall and winter, stay healthy & look after each other! See you all in 2027!!

🏊🚴🏃 Ready, Set… Go! It’s Triathlon Weekend in Riding Mountain National Park

The Riding Mountain Triathlon returns to Wasagaming on Saturday, August 15, bringing athletes from across the region together to swim, bike, and run through one of Canada's most scenic race courses.

If you're visiting or travelling through Riding Mountain National Park this weekend, please plan ahead:
⚠️ Event setup will take place in the Main Beach area on August 14
⚠️ Temporary traffic disruptions and reduced speed zones will be in effect along portions of the race route
⚠️ Watch for cyclists, runners, and increased event activity, particularly along Highway 10
⚠️ Follow directions from volunteer course marshals and event staff
⚠️ Allow extra travel time if you're heading to popular visitor areas

Thank you for helping keep participants, volunteers, and fellow visitors safe throughout the event.
