Build your credit now so you have options later.

I see it more often than you’d think. Customers approaching retirement with a smaller pension, an older vehicle, and credit challenges that limit their financing options.

When your income is fixed and your credit has taken a hit, getting approved for a reliable vehicle can become a real challenge. Sometimes the only options available come with payments that simply don’t make sense for their budget.

That’s why building and maintaining good credit before retirement matters. It’s not just about getting approved today. It’s about giving yourself more options, more flexibility, and more financial freedom when you need it most.

BIG MISCONCEPTION: OLDER CAR = CHEAPER PAYMENT 🚗💰

I get it, everyone wants a cheaper vehicle with low mileage. But when it comes to bank financing, it doesn’t always work that way.

Older vehicles typically have shorter financing terms, while newer vehicles may qualify for longer terms. That means a newer vehicle can sometimes have a lower monthly payment, even if the purchase price is higher.

And remember, your payment includes more than just the vehicle price. Tax, fees and interest all factor into the amount being financed.
Cheaper vehicle ≠ automatically cheaper payment.

That’s one of my favourite parts of what I do. Buying a vehicle doesn’t have to mean spending hours at a dealership, going back and forth, or trying to figure everything out on your own.

Marcel was looking for something reliable for the winter. He had his heart set on a truck, but based on his credit, that just wasn’t realistic right now. Instead of forcing something that didn’t make sense, we found a better path: a brand-new Mitsubishi RVR at 2.99%.

A reliable vehicle, manufacturer warranty, and an opportunity to rebuild his credit without getting stuck in a high-interest loan. Sometimes the right solution isn’t the vehicle you originally had in mind.

Kyla came to me with significant negative equity on two SUVs and had already been turned down six times elsewhere.

We went through the situation, looked at what was actually possible, and found a solution: a brand-new Outlander SEL at a great rate.

Most importantly? She absolutely loves it. 🙌

Jule had a very specific budget, around $300/month, and was driving a 2004 Toyota Yaris with nearly 400,000 km.

She was worried there simply weren’t any options for her.

Then this little Kia Forte came along. We were able to get it under budget, giving her a newer, more reliable vehicle and, hopefully, a whole lot more peace of mind.

Three very different customers. Three very different credit situations.

That’s what I love about this job, finding the solution that actually makes sense for the person on the other side of the application.

And yes, all three were handled 100% remotely. 🚗💻
