The upcoming Ford Fathom electric pickup will be just the beginning. Ford reportedly plans to build four additional vehicles on its new Universal EV Platform, which was designed to support everything from small cars and SUVs to commercial vans.

Ford's upcoming Fathom electric pickup will feature Apple Maps integrated directly into the vehicle, with core navigation functionality available without an ongoing subscription.

That includes EV-specific features such as intelligent route planning and battery preconditioning when heading toward a charging stop. ⚡

For longer trips around BC, having your truck understand both the route AND its charging needs could be a very useful combination.
