🔧 SUNDAY SERVICE → BACK ON THE ROAD MONDAY! 🔧

It was a busy start to the week at Nanaimo Auto Care & Towing with two alternator jobs and a fuel pump job coming through the shop.

What makes these jobs a little different? We answered the calls, accepted the vehicles and started looking at them on Sunday, when finding an open automotive shop or towing service can be extremely difficult.

Parts were ordered, arrived Monday, and we got to work.

🚗 Vehicle #1:
Came in with a check engine light, low battery voltage and no power steering. After diagnosing the charging system, we found the alternator wasn’t charging properly. The low voltage was causing issues with the electric power steering. New alternator installed Monday and the customer is back on the road!

🚙 Vehicle #2:
Was brought in not running with a dead battery. After diagnosis, we traced the no-start problem to a failed fuel pump. Parts arrived Monday, the repair was completed, and another customer is back on the road!

⚡ We also had a second alternator replacement completed today.

We know breakdowns don’t only happen Monday to Friday. Being able to answer the phone, accept vehicles and diagnose problems on a Sunday means we can have parts lined up and get repairs underway as soon as possible.

From towing and roadside assistance to diagnostics and automotive repairs, Nanaimo Auto Care & Towing is here to keep you moving.

🔧 Another Electrical Issue Diagnosed & Fixed! 💡🚗

This vehicle was referred to us by another automotive shop after they ran into a lighting/electrical issue that needed some further diagnosis.

When it arrived, the brake lights and reverse lights were the ONLY exterior lights working.

❌ No headlights — high or low beam
❌ No running/parking lights
❌ No fog lights
❌ No licence plate lights

We got it into the shop and started tracing the problem, checking the fuses, bulbs, relays and electrical circuits to figure out where power was being lost.

After diagnosing the issue, we were able to get the lighting system back up and running again. 💡✅

We appreciate other local shops trusting us with their customers when they need an extra hand diagnosing an electrical problem.

🚗 We currently have space available for all your automotive needs!

And if your vehicle can’t make it to the shop, we’ve got you covered there too. Our wrecker tow truck is available for basic roadside assistance and can pick up your vehicle and bring it directly to our shop for diagnosis and repair.

🚗🔧 Keeping Nanaimo Drivers Safe – One Repair at a Time! 🔧🚛

Not every vehicle repair is planned. This week, we had several last-minute walk-ins that needed immediate attention, and our team was ready to help get everyone safely back on the road.

Here’s a few of the repairs we’ve completed recently:

✅ Trailer brake repairs
✅ Trailer wiring repairs
✅ Replaced a missing master cylinder reservoir cap to restore safe braking operation
✅ Diagnosed and repaired an overheating vehicle that was towed into our shop. We found a failed belt, tensioner, and pulleys, replaced the worn components, and had the customer back on the road safely.

Whether it’s a quick safety concern before a trip, a trailer that’s not towing properly, or a breakdown that leaves you stranded, our goal is always the same, provide honest repairs, quality workmanship, and get you back on the road as quickly and safely as possible.

Thank you to everyone who trusted TALO Auto Care & Towing with your vehicles this week. We appreciate your support!

🚨 Another Successful Recovery & Transport Completed! 🚨

Recently our team was called out to assist with transporting a truck and trailer from Cameron Lake near Port Alberni back to Nanaimo.

To make the job as efficient and cost effective as possible for our client, our experienced operators arrived with two drivers and two tow trucks. Rather than running both trucks independently, we loaded one tow truck onto the back of our flat deck, helping reduce fuel consumption, emissions, and overall transportation costs.

At Take A Load Off Towing & Auto Care, we don’t just tow cars. We provide solutions.

🚨 Ever Wonder What Happens Behind The Scenes Of A Tow Call?

Most people only see the tow truck arrive.

What they don’t see is the planning, training, equipment checks, traffic concerns, and safety procedures that happen before your vehicle is even loaded.

Whether it’s a breakdown in Nanaimo, a vehicle transport to Port Alberni, a recovery in Parksville, or an emergency tow on the highway, our goal is always the same:

Get there quickly.
Protect your vehicle.
Get you back on track.

Over the last year we’ve transported everything from family vehicles and classic cars to equipment, side by sides, and commercial vehicles throughout Vancouver Island and beyond.

Every call is different, but one thing stays the same: treating every vehicle like it’s our own.

Have we helped you with a tow, recovery, vehicle transport, boost, lockout, or roadside service?

🔧🚨 YOUR VEHICLE IS TALKING TO YOU. ARE YOU LISTENING? 🚨🔧

Most major repairs don’t happen overnight.

Your vehicle usually gives you warnings long before it leaves you stranded:

🔹 A small vibration that wasn’t there last week
🔹 A squeak when applying the brakes
🔹 A warning light that comes and goes
🔹 A battery that cranks a little slower each morning
🔹 A clunk when going over bumps
🔹 A slight pull while driving down the road

Ignoring those little signs often turns a simple repair into a tow truck call.

That’s where TALO Auto Care & Towing comes in.

Instead of calling one company to tow your vehicle and another company to repair it, we can handle both. From diagnostics and repairs to roadside assistance and towing, our team helps keep Vancouver Island drivers moving. Our services include towing, battery boosts, lockouts, tire changes, brake repairs, suspension work, diagnostics, starter and alternator testing, cooling system repairs, and more.

Whether your vehicle is stuck in a driveway, broken down on the highway, or simply showing signs that something isn’t right, we’re here to help.
