2022–2024 Ram Cummins owners… the wait is OVER. 🔥

Moose Jaw Truck Shop can now officially UNLOCK & TUNE your 22–24 Cummins ECMs. 👊

That means:
✅ More power
✅ Better drivability
✅ Custom tuning through the OBD port
✅ No more waiting on “maybe someday” technology

Here’s the catch:
⚠️ Your ECM MUST be original to your truck.
⚠️ You cannot swap another ECM in while yours is being unlocked.

We remove your ECM, send it for unlock service through HP Tuners, and once it comes back… your truck can be tuned just like a 2019–2021 Cummins. 🔥

The diesel game just changed.

If you’ve been waiting to wake your truck up properly… now’s the time.

10 Years in the Game

And if you really think about it… it was never about the trucks.

It was always about the people behind the wheel… and the people behind the tools and in the office.

To the ones who were there in the early days — when it was tight, messy, and uncertain — you remember what it took. Long days. Late nights. Figuring it out when there was no playbook. You helped build something real. That doesn’t get forgotten.

To the ones who came in along the way and carried it forward — you brought your own standard, your own pride, your own edge. You didn’t just work here… you left your fingerprint on it.

And to the customers — the ones who gave us a shot before we “proved” anything… and the ones who still roll in today without hesitation — that kind of trust isn’t normal. It’s earned. And it’s protected.

Here’s the truth most people won’t say:

A shop doesn’t become a shop people talk about by accident.
It becomes a circle.

A place where standards are felt the second you walk in.
Where people know your name.
Where work actually means something.

If you’ve been part of that circle at any point — past or present — this post is for you.

And if you haven’t… you’ll feel it the first time you step through the door.

We’re not celebrating 10 years like it’s the finish line.

We’re celebrating it because now the foundation is strong enough to build something unforgettable.

This probably looks a little sketchy if you’ve never seen it before 😅

Not everything needs to be fancy — sometimes the simple setups are the most reliable when you know what you’re doing.

Most people don’t think about their engine until something goes wrong.
By the time there’s a noise, a warning light, or a loss of power… the problem has usually been building for a while.

What you’re looking at in these photos isn’t just “parts.”
It’s a system where everything depends on everything else — and small issues don’t stay small for long.

Here’s what most truck owners overlook:

🔧 Minor symptoms are early warnings
Rough starts, slight power loss, or small leaks don’t fix themselves. They compound.

🛠️ Wear is gradual, not sudden
Components don’t fail overnight — they break down over time from heat, pressure, and load.

⚠️ Delayed maintenance gets expensive fast
What could’ve been a simple fix turns into multiple parts failing together.

📉 Performance drops before failure happens
Fuel efficiency, power, and responsiveness all decline before something fully gives out.

🧠 Most damage is preventable
Not by doing everything — just by catching the right things early.

At the end of the day, engines aren’t unpredictable.
They follow patterns.

The difference is whether you notice those patterns early… or deal with them later.

Diesel trucks have a reputation for being “built tougher”… and they are.
But the part most people miss is how expensive small mistakes can get over time.

Here’s some real context:

🔧 A neglected fuel system on a diesel can cost $3,000–$8,000+ to repair
🔧 Injector replacements alone often run $300–$700 per injector (and most engines have 6–8)
🔧 High-pressure fuel pump failure can easily exceed $5,000–$10,000
🔧 Diesel oil changes typically cost 2–3x more than gas engines due to capacity and filters

Now compare that to routine maintenance:

✔ Regular service intervals can reduce major failure risk by 30–50%+
✔ Catching early issues (like minor fuel or air system problems) can turn a $5,000 repair into a $500 fix

The gap between “runs forever” and “costs a fortune” is usually just maintenance timing.

Most of the expensive jobs we see didn’t start as big problems.
They started as something small that got pushed off.

If you’re relying on your truck for work, downtime isn’t just an inconvenience —
it’s lost income, missed jobs, and added stress.

🧰

This isn’t about over-servicing your truck.
It’s about understanding where diesel systems are less forgiving…
and staying ahead of it.

Most people think of an engine as one solid piece.

In reality, it’s a system of moving parts working together under heat, pressure, and constant load.

What you’re looking at here is where real diagnostics start — hood up, before anything gets taken apart.

Most major engine problems don’t happen overnight. They usually start small:
1️⃣ Slight loss of power
2️⃣ Increased fuel consumption
3️⃣ A new or unusual noise

Modern engines — especially diesel — rely on multiple systems working together:
🔧 Fuel system
🌡️ Cooling system
🌬️ Air & exhaust flow
💻 Sensors & electronics

If one part is off, the whole system feels it.

That’s why things like a check engine light or performance drop aren’t random — they’re early warnings.

Regular maintenance is what keeps those small issues from turning into major ones:
✅ Oil changes
✅ Inspections
✅ Routine service

At the end of the day, reliability comes down to catching the small things early.
