A little shop tip while working on the Camaro.

We're using a Motion Raceworks turn signal switch and going through how the brake lights and turn signals tie together.

It's one of those wiring details worth sorting out properly when you're putting together a race car.

A little more wiring work on the Orange Camaro.

Found an old fuse setup with wires soldered right to it, along with some leftover stereo wiring that doesn't need to be there anymore.

We're pulling out what we don't need and getting the battery wiring sorted out. Pretty typical stuff when you're working on a car that's had a few electrical changes over the years.

Ever tried working in a boat's engine hatch without enough light? Not much fun when you can barely see what you're doing.

Here's a Night Owl Service Light Kit with flat-mounted LED lights installed around the engine hatch. The before and after photos show just how much easier it is to see what's going on down there.

The lights stay mounted in place and run off a Milwaukee M12 or M18 battery, depending on the kit. We went with Milwaukee because those batteries are already kicking around in a lot of shops, trailers, and pits.

No more trying to hold a flashlight while you've got both hands buried in the engine bay.

Night Owl Light Kit Install at Mission Raceway

Got one of our Night Owl Service Light Kits installed in a truck at Smoke, Fire & Thunder at Mission Raceway back in the summer.

This setup runs off a Milwaukee M18 battery, with lights mounted around the car so you can actually see what you're working on.

No messing around with flashlights or dragging extension cords through the pits. Just some good lighting where you need it, especially when you're working between rounds after dark.

Ever tried working inside a race car with a flashlight stuck between your teeth?

Here's what comes with our M12 Night Owl Service Light Kit. Five LED lights, wiring, and a mount for your Milwaukee M12 battery.

Put the lights where you need them and you've got both hands free to work. Pretty handy for clutch adjustments between rounds or digging around under the dash.

Here's the kit laid out and installed in a race car.

Orange Camaro Engine Wiring | TPS & Sensor Harness

More progress on the Orange Camaro.
Here's a look at the front section of the engine sensor harness, including the TPS wiring. Everything is labelled, wrapped in Raychem DR25, and routed where it needs to go.

It's the little details that make wiring easier to work with down the road.

Unlikely duo adding numerous auxiliary The Scientists of Lighting light bars and spot lights to a new squared. Needed something small and compact to handle all the new lighting and accessories. We decided to use a ECUMaster USA PMU-16 to deal with the current load. In total we’ll be adding nearly 100 amps worth of LED lights to the truck.

A little look at the wiring behind C7 Pro Mod Corvette.
Starting with a whole lot of wire, then building and wrapping the harnesses before getting everything routed and installed in the car. With a blown alcohol Hemi and all the electronics that go along with it, there’s a fair bit going on behind the panels.
Always cool to see where it starts compared to where it ends up.

A little coil pack wiring on the ’66 Nova - what do you think?

Coils mounted up and getting the wiring cleaned up and routed. Keeping everything organized and easy to trace makes life a lot easier when you have to come back to it later.

Sorting Out the Camaro Wiring

Back into the orange Camaro. This time we’re working through how everything is going to be routed across the dash.
Rather than just finding somewhere for each wire to go, we start at one point and work across, bringing everything into the harness as we get to it. Makes it a whole lot easier to keep track of what’s going where.
Still some work ahead on this one.
