SOLD! We’ve often been told we run an orphanage for DeLoreans, not just a dealership. For the last 11 years our team has worked extremely hard to help owners in Canada “live the dream” by keeping these bits of stainless history safely rolling, and pairing the right car with the right client, at the right time. This is not easy, and comes only with the skill and restoration experience gained by doing one model, over and over, properly, for over a decade.

And the right car for the right client at the right time came today for another friend and new client. How did he do it? He made a plan, saved his money, and when he was sure of what he wanted he worked with us to get it for him - when it was right.

The car in question is something special - this 1983 grey interior 5-spd DMC-12 is not only a Canadian spec car, it is also the last Canadian Spec car made!

SOLD! We were happy to help round our new client’s collection with this stunning original condition 1983 DMC-12 with just 4,000 miles on it! Purchased new in Aurora, this car has lived a very sheltered local life before coming to us to be revived. Restored with every bit saved in a box to have it be truly concours should it need to compete. Congrats!

DECADE - It was 10 years ago last week that we moved our DeLorean operations to its dedicated spot in Miton, which we then expanded shortly after.

While we have had the challenges of any small niche business, we’ve been lucky to have a great spot, supportive friends and neighbours, and to be seconds away from some excellent driving scenery for these stainless machines.

Yesterday we celebrated with our 10 Years of Wells Auto Milton Tech Day, which saw 25 DMC-12s on site for their annual spring check ups, and a catered lunch from our friends at Chorizo Milton. We also had a new batch of Wells Auto caps made, labeled “decade”.

Thanks to everyone who has helped, supported, or just stopped by to say hi over the decade, and here’s to seeing you again in the future!

DELOREANS OF THE CARIBBEAN, PART 2 - Determined to get the DeLorean we found in Cayman last season running, we returned recently with our plans to help our friend get back on the road.

After some extensive fuel system work, and many tests and checks, we had the PRV purring, running cool, and ready to suck in some of that tropical air again - no small feat given the circumstances. We took it for its first drive after many years for a short stint around the island. So happy he can enjoy it again in paradise!

But wait, there’s more - this led to a find of a SECOND car there, this one in far more dire need for help, but we are ready for it. Will there be a Part 3? Stay tuned! 😎
