This week’s Bruce Brags spotlight is on our Accounting Administrator, Vickie Connell! 🌟 Vickie is always happy to lend a hand and is just as sweet as the amazing homemade treats she brings into the office. Her cheerful personality and willingness to help make her a valued member of our accounting team.
Vickie was nominated by her manager, Courtney McNeil, who shared: “Since her first day, Vickie has been a true team player. She always shows up with a smile and is the first to offer a kind word or gesture to others. Whether assisting a teammate or supporting one of our stores, she is always willing to lend a hand. She is a strong asset to the team, and we are lucky to have her cheery, helpful personality within our group.”
For Vickie, the best part of her job is the connections she has made and the strong support system built with wonderful people who offer encouragement and support to help her succeed. Looking back over the past year, she is proud of how far she has come after joining a new workplace without knowing anyone or what to expect.
Outside of work, family is Vickie’s top priority. You’ll often find her and her family at the dirt track, cheering on her son as he races stock cars! 🏁
Her advice to someone thinking about joining the Bruce Auto team? “Learning something new is not easy. Give yourself grace, pace yourself, give it time and don’t give up.”
Thank you, Vickie, for the kindness and helping hand you bring to our team — and for keeping the office a little sweeter! 💙
