This Ford Ranger had been sitting outside, un-driven for 2 years. It had a minor leak and the resulting moisture allowed mold to grow all over. It definitely wasn’t easy but I was really happy to help this client and make his truck’s interior a habitable space again.

This is one of the most asked questions I get as a detailer, so I thought I would share a quick tutorial. Let me know what my next tutorial should be on!

Products I used:

-Sonax Wheel Cleaner Plus
-Optimum Power Clean (diluted 3:1)
-The Rag Company Tire Brush
-The Rag Company Wheel and Body Brush
-Gyeon Q2M Wheel Brush (for inner wheel/barrel)
-Detail Factory Boar's Hair Brush (for intricate areas/lug nuts)
-BigBoi Blower (forced air dryer)
-Microfiber Towels
-CarPro Perl (tire dressing; can be used neat or diluted 1:1)

This Christmas, I want to give away a free Interior Restoration Detail (valued up to $280) but I need your help!
2020 has been the toughest year many of us have likely ever experienced, but some have been hit particularly hard. If you know of a family or individual from Maple Ridge who has had a tough go this year, or if you want to honour one of our front-line health care workers, you can enter them into the giveaway by nominating them!
How to nominate someone:
Simply send an email to [email protected] that includes:
- Your name
- The name of the family/individual you would like to nominate
- A description of why you are nominating them
- Your contact info (to be used solely for the purpose of informing you that your nominee won)
- The nomination must be received by 11:59 PM PST on December 18, 2020
How the winner will be chosen:
My wife and I will read through all the nominations and choose our top 5. From these top 5, the winner will be randomly selected. The winner will be contacted via the info given in the nomination email, and will also be officially announced on Facebook and Instagram on December 20th, 2020.

I always enjoy testing new products. I have been on the hunt for a quality windshield coating and decided to try Optimum’s Glass-Coat. Ease of application get’s an A+. The performance is quite good so far with great water beading and improved visibility while driving in the wet. If it’s as durable as Optimum says, we definitely have a viable option!
