I love performance cars.

I’ve spent years building engines and helping people make their vehicles faster and more enjoyable.

I understand the excitement.

But one thing I’ve learned is that power comes with responsibility.

🌡️ Your Temperature Gauge Is Not a Suggestion.

We’re starting to see more vehicles coming in with cooling system issues as the weather warms up.

The problem is that most cooling system failures don’t happen overnight.

A small coolant leak, weak radiator, sticking thermostat, aging hose, or failing water pump can slowly get worse until one hot day your vehicle overheats.

Over the last couple months, we’ve had to make a difficult decision at APS Automotive.

Due to major increases in oil and parts pricing, our full synthetic oil change service has increased from $69.99 to $79.99.

To be fully transparent with our customers, our oil cost alone has jumped nearly $10 per bottle in a very short period of time, and supplies of certain grades like 0W20 have become harder to consistently get. When inventory becomes available, we’ve been purchasing in bulk just to make sure we can continue servicing the vehicles our customers rely on every day.

And it’s not just oil.

Filters, parts, shop supplies, fluids — nearly everything in the automotive industry has been increasing faster than we’ve ever seen before.

That said, we want everyone to know something important:

APS Automotive is still doing everything we can to keep repairs affordable and fair for our customers.

We are absorbing many of these increases ourselves wherever possible because we know families, seniors, and working people are all feeling the pressure right now too.

Recently, we had a senior customer experience an A/C condenser issue shortly after installation. The manufacturer agreed to replace the part under warranty, but labor typically is not covered. Knowing she lives on a fixed income, we worked with her because sometimes being part of a community means doing the right thing even when it costs you something.

That’s how we’ve always believed business should be done.

We truly appreciate every customer who supports local small businesses like ours. Your trust keeps independent shops alive, keeps local families employed, and allows us to continue helping people the best we can.
