Began the work on the 2012 Polaris Rush 800 Pro R. Time to get the engine removed so we can start the disassembly and investigation process. Found some of the damage when the exhaust valves came off. Swipe to see the damage.

Customer was complaining that it felt like his snowmobile was running on one cylinder. He thought it was a spark issue because the motor was rebuilt 2 years ago and hardly ridden since then. Spark was fine so out came the compression tester. Found zero. Yes zero compression on the mag side cylinder. Did some investigating with the camera. The first cylinder picture is a good, clean cylinder. The last one is the bad one. The cylinder wasn't getting enough fuel or oil and overheated and broke the piston. Now it's time for the customer to decide whether he wants to fix it again, or cut his losses and find something else.
