🇨🇦 CKNA GRAND NATIONALS 10 — RACE RECAP 🇨🇦🏁
What a week in Newcastle, Indiana!
With over 500 entries, Grand Nationals 10 brought together some of the best Briggs racers for an incredible weekend of competition, friendships, and everything we love about karting.
🏎️ Carson Bartlett #311 — Senior Heavy
With such a large and competitive field, every position had to be earned.
Thursday’s practice sessions gave us a chance to get a feel for the track, but finding the right setup was no easy task. With so many karts on track, changing grip levels and tire pressures kept us working throughout the weekend.
Carson qualified P8 in his split qualifying group before heading into the heat races.
🔹 Heat 1: P16 | Gained 6 positions
🔹 Heat 2: P26 | Lost 10 positions
🔹 Heat 3: P16 | Gained 10 positions
It was a weekend of ups and downs, but Carson kept his head down and continued battling.
Sunday brought another challenge, with misty conditions making tire selection a tough call. With a yellow-flag start and a red flag shortening the Grand Final to just 13 laps, there wasn’t much time to waste.
Starting P19, Carson worked his way through a very competitive Senior Heavy field to finish P9 — gaining 10 positions!
A top-ten finish at the Grand Nationals is something to be proud of, especially against this level of competition.
🔧 OUTTA THE BOX CHALLENGE — kartEparts x Maxim Motorsports
One of the highlights of the weekend was teaming up with Maxim Motorsports for the Outta the Box Challenge!
Our team worked together to build a motor in an impressive 5 minutes and 6 seconds, receiving just one penalty for a loose throttle cable.
With Jamie MacArthur and Carson Bartlett as our chief mechanics and Sebastian Day behind the wheel, we finished P5 in the race!
What a great group of people to work alongside. The teamwork, energy, and excitement made this an experience we won’t forget!
🇨🇦 CANADA CORNER & THE KARTING COMMUNITY
As much as we love the racing, Grand Nationals is about so much more than the results.
We were proud to be part of Canada Corner, surrounded by great people and plenty of Canadian pride!
It was fantastic catching up with our American racing family, reconnecting with our suppliers, talking with customers, and meeting some of the racers who took home prizes donated by kartEparts.
These conversations and connections are a huge part of why we do what we do.
With mostly great weather, great company, and some of the most competitive racing we’ve experienced, Grand Nationals 10 was another reminder of just how special the karting community is.
A huge thank-you to everyone who stopped by, supported us, raced alongside us, and helped make the weekend such a success.
We may have spent Canadian Thanksgiving at a racetrack in Indiana, but we couldn’t think of a better way to spend it — surrounded by our racing family, doing what we love.
