I wanted to let my friends and customers know that April 23rd was my last day at Barnes Harley-Davidson. Most of you don’t know but a month ago I was laid off due to COVID 19 and finally let go this week, it is an uncertain time for our business and other factors also contributed to this result. I appreciate my 10 years with Harley-Davidson, I love this brand and what it represents and will always be a Harley rider and enthusiast. If I am ever gonna work for Harley-Davidson again? I don’t know, at this time this is the most honest answer I have. But I do know that I’m excited to see this next chapter in my life unfolds. At this moment there are ideas and projects but I do not have a new job yet, with the pandemic not many places are hiring and society as a whole is not fully functional so I am giving it time and enjoying this precious opportunity to spend time with my wife and kids. I appreciate all the people that in someway participated in this journey, co-workers and customers, my friends at MMI, BrazilCustom, Rio Harley-Davidson, Harley-Davidson Winnipeg, Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson of Kelowna, Barnes Harley-Davidson Langley and many other builders, artists and shops, I learned lots and hopefully was able to teach some as well. 🤘🏻

When he saw this 2009 Fat Boy he knew it was the one, this motorcycle is done up like crazy, chromed out with Stg 1 and pipes, custom front end, wheels and handlebars. My buddy Freddy has been coming to the shop since before I started at Barnes HD, he has a gorgeous CVO Breakout and figured it was time to add a Milwaukee 8 to his collection. This minty 2018 Fatboy 114ci (115th Anniversary Edition) was the perfect choice. This is the classic case of a customer that became a friend. I met and his son Tyler (who was a Road Glide Special build coming soon) when he purchased a 2018 Softail Deluxe for his birthday. Now he is back to add a new toy to his garage, yes the Deluxe is still there. This time he went all in with a 2020 Street Glide CVO, we switched the tins from a 2019 CVO since he was in love with the color but wanted the new RDRS features of the 2020 models. To complete the package he added 12” Mini Apes, Slimline Headers w/ 4.5” Slip Ons and color matched Tourpak w/ CVO style stitched backrest. Congratulations Doug your bike looks amazing, you are a valued customer and friend! We look great on our and limited edition flannels. Enjoy this beast brother!!!!
