Sustainable Cycles

Sustainable Cycles Sustainable Cycles is an inclusive co-operative that strives to change the way people think and talk Our work so far has focused mostly on menstruation.

Sustainable Cycles offers a variety of workshops, and products that encourage people to engage in life in a way that is healthy for body, mind and spirit. We offer reusable menstrual pads, locally handmade by us. You may have seen our booth at such places as The Non-Violence Festival, Stitch and Kitsch, Bloomin' Earth, and other local events. We also run workshops, often on campus (WLU and UW), an

d occassionally in the community. Workshops we facilitate include: Make your own menstrual pad, Sustainable Menstruation, Cycle Charting, etc. Sustainable Cycles is now offering home parties! Book a party for free and we will come to your home and share information about sustainable menstrual products, and natural pain management. A wide variety of related goodies will be available for purchase. If you are interested in more information about any of our products of services, or if you would like to volunteer please contact us! Today, we are angry, outraged, and heartbroken about the fall of Roe v Wade. Now more than ever, we need to be loud in our support of abortion rights and access! 📣No more shame, no more stigma, no more barriers! Join us to rally on Wednesday, June 29th at the Clock Tower in Willow River Park (form Victoria Park), where we can gather and raise our voices together. We will keep fighting for as long as it takes.🧡

Consider supporting this campaign by the other Sustainable Cycles (the Bad@$$ west coast US bicycling and menstrual cycling group).

Quoted from their campaign:
"BEGINNING ON APRIL 1ST, 2017, we will bike thousands of miles, self supported, to the Society for Menstrual Cycle Research conference in Atlanta, Georgia. We will demand space for sustainable transportation on public roads and host cycling workshops in local communities along the way.

Our workshops cover basic menstrual health and bicycle safety for women. We discuss the environmental, economic, and personal health benefits of choosing sustainable modes of transportation and menstrual supplies."

We want change. And we want it now! Sustainable Cycles believes that anyone who has, will, or does experience a menstrual cycle deserves access to basic education so that they can make informed choices about their mobility and their menstrual cycle. This spring 2017, we will send 6 self-supported...
