Old or new, commercial motor vehicles are typically much more complex than non commercial motor vehicles.

Working on our own trucks and trailers helps us to become better instructors because we better understand how the equipment works so we can better describe to our students the typical major and minor defects they are going to see and where to look.

By working on our gear we get to better understand how the vehicle systems work and that allows us to better describe to our students how those same systems work.

Commercial Motor Vehicles require constant attention! Here is our Suburban 2500, which we use to train AR, in our own shop as we fabricate and install new steel in all the typical Suburban rust areas!

Its much easier to teach people when you work on your own equipment. Then you know how it works and your explanations are much more concise and clear.

Intensity in training and the value of a checklist! A commercial motor vehicle driver has the responsibility to ensure their equipment is fit for the road.

There is only one way to accomplish that. Learn a routine that covers all applicable sections of Schedule 1 and then actually complete your routine every single day!

The only short cuts in trucking are the ones that lead to crashes, injury and worse!
