12 Days of Giving with Energy! This year, Energy Dodge put out a call for nominations for individuals deserving of a little extra Holiday Cheer. Judy Frehlich is a name that was put forward and is a well-deserving recipient of the Energy Dodge 12 Days of Giving. She is a community-minded individual who has served on several committees and groups within Luseland over the years. Some of her recent involvements include her involvement in the Luseland Housing board for 12 years, member of the Luseland Rec Board, Treasurer for the Luseland theatre group (Pothole Productions), Trip of the Month volunteer, and an active member of the Catholic Church including choir. Her church group also makes an effort to sing and pray with the residents of Pioneers Haven in Kerrobert every month. In the past, Judy has also served on the Town Council board and as a member of the Royal Purple, Kinette and Kette clubs, and Canada Day Committee.
Even with her incredible community service, Judy has been a family-minded individual over the years. Among her involvement as a grandmother and wife, she also is the "go-to" caregiver for her mother-in-law. Unfortunately, over the past few years Judy has been caring for her husband, Dave, as his health has deteriorated. This past year she faced the difficult decision of seeking care for Dave in Kerrobert Long Term Care, having to sell her house as a means to afford the transition. Judy's heart is as big as her involvement in her town and she is so deserving of this recognition. The individual who nominated Judy wants to thank her for her selflessness and service and notes she is truly an inspiration! Energy Dodge is honoured to present Judy with a $500 Co-op Gift Card to acknowledge her efforts in her community and help alleviate some of the burden of the costs the Holiday Season can bring.
