🚗 Kevin Dunnebacke | Owner
Kevin started Ktown Custom Auto in 2015, bringing more than 30 years of hands-on experience to the shop. He's been a certified journeyman technician since 1998!

🔧 Jesse Paterson | Mechanic
Jesse has been working in the automotive industry since 2005 and earned his journeyman certification in 2009. From mechanical repairs to electrical diagnostics, Jesse brings years of knowledge and experience to the team.

🔋 Dead battery? Before you grab the jumper cables…

A vehicle that won’t start doesn’t automatically mean it just needs a boost.

Your battery could be discharged, nearing the end of its life, damaged, frozen, or the problem could be somewhere else in the charging or starting system.

Before attempting a jump, take a look at the battery. If it’s swollen, cracked, leaking, visibly damaged or potentially frozen, don’t try to jump it.

And if you’re needing boosts regularly, that’s another sign it’s time to find out what’s actually going on.

Battery health can be affected by:

🔋 Age and overall condition
❄️ Cold temperatures
⚡ Charging system issues
🚗 Frequent short trips
💡 Lights or electronics draining the battery
🔌 Loose or corroded connections

A boost might get you moving, but it doesn’t tell you why your battery died in the first place.

Heading into a Kimberley winter is a good time to have your battery and charging system checked before that first really cold morning decides for you.

Most of us know to keep an eye on our tires and stay on top of oil changes, but when was the last time you thought about your vehicle’s air filters?

A dirty or clogged engine air filter can restrict airflow to your engine, potentially affecting performance and fuel efficiency. Your cabin air filter is just as important, helping filter dust, pollen and other particles from the air coming into your vehicle.

Regular filter checks can help:
