Coming on Friday: "That annoying grinding sound under load isn't just noise, it could be a mechanical failure waiting to happen. We have stripped everything down and are now in the process of re-assembling it all. We have replaced a bearing, checked the trans for any filings and looked at everything we could to determin where the noise was coming from. Did we fix it?? Stay tuned this week to find out as we get her out for a ride.Like, Comment, Subscribe and Share us out there.

Some builds fight you right to the very end — and Josephine was one of them. This week wasn’t clean, it wasn’t easy, and it sure as hell wasn’t perfect. It was the kind of week every real builder knows: last‑minute problems, unexpected failures, parts that don’t cooperate, and moments where you stop, breathe, and wonder if the old girl is ever going to give you a break.

But today… after more than 35 years in the dark, Josephine finally rolled back into the sunlight. And when that Shovelhead fired, when she settled into that rhythm, that only a Shovelhead can make, she didn’t just run — she ran like a Queen.

After months of wrenching, problem‑solving, and real‑world Shovelhead headaches, Josephine — my 1980s Harley FLHT Shovelhead — finally roars back to life aft...

Coming on Friday: This episode isn’t just another step in a rebuild. It’s the payoff for months of sweat, busted knuckles, stubborn bolts, and late nights in a cold shop. It’s the moment every builder chases: when the machine you’ve been fighting finally breathes again.

Along the way, we tackle every last obstacle standing between Josephine and the open road — blown lifters, brake light failures, solid lifter conversion, brake bleeding, spark plug wire routing, seat and rack install, clutch linkage issues… all the real‑world problems that show up when you’re resurrecting a Shovelhead the honest way.
No shortcuts. No staged fixes. No magic edits.Just the truth of the work — and the reward at the end of it.If you’ve ever brought an old Harley back from the dead, you already know this feeling. If you haven’t yet… this is what waits for you on the other side.
